That is not even half the cost. It’s only the cost for the male side of it. The woman’s side is like double that. The whole thing of harvesting from the woman, mixing of the male and female side, selection of gender aka sexed semen, grading embryos by geneticist, implantation is a huge operation and birth via elective CS since it’ll be multiple births.
Quality does not come cheap. Genetic deformities and abnormalities weeded out. Weak sperm quality weeded out. You get the genes you want, like I want over 6 ft, blue eyed, Ash blonde hair, artistic, athletic build, college educated, how on earth would you get that? you get the gender you want by using sexed semen only to fertilize in the petri dish with your ovaries , you get multiple offspring at a go instead of being pg 3 different times and you get only the best three embryos implanted after a geneticist grades them. It’s amazing. I wish I knew about this when I was younger. It’s a godsent.
Of course you can always go the cheap way of just sleeping with a locally available chimpanzee but you know what that will get you. If you want the best quality of anything in life gotta put in the investment.
How are they done? Babies need 6 months exclusive breastfeeding. Babies die if they are not held. A man can be replaced in the process of reproduction but not a woman.
This may actually help women not to carry pregnancies or hire surrogate moms for those with wombs which are not viable. Like endometriosis and fibroid.
