I want to talk about this topic once and for all and I will never get back to it. First of all let’s get one thing clear. I am Somali whose descent can be traced back to Garissa therefore technically a Kenyan citizen by birth. This little piece of information has been very hard for many villagers to grasp. in short am saying am not from Muqdishu, although quite a beautiful place when the guns go silent am just unfortunately not from there. I very much feel at home in this country except for certain remarks of ignorance here and there. I have been called an “Al shabab” for merely refusing to board a matatu but its alright. The tough Nomadic genes in me can’t allow me loose sleep over such things. On the bright side I have been exposed to many great cultures that I have enjoyed interacting with. I have made great Luo, kikuyu and Luhya friends.
We Somalis are as Kenyan as the Kikuyu in central or the Luo in Nyanza. We have not “migrated” from anywhere. North Eastern Kenya is our ancestral land. Our forefathers never really chosed to be part of Kenya. If you are well read you will know a little bit about something refered to as the “Shifta War” and if you are actually intelligent you will know that war was not about bandits as the propagandist claimed but an active independence movement.
The Shifta War (1963–1967) was a secessionist conflict in which ethnic Somalis in the Northern Frontier District (NFD) of Kenya (a region that is and has historically been almost exclusively inhabited by ethnic Somalis attempted to join with their fellow Somalis in a Greater Somalia . The Kenyan government named the conflict "shifta ", after the Somali word for “bandit”, as part of a propaganda effort. So unlike some well known people who are full of empty threats about their “secessionist” movement we Somalis actually bled and died for our beliefs back then. Before you go on on a hateful rant put yourself in our shoes. It’s only natural to want to be part of people you share similar beliefs with. Pretty sure Kikuyus would also have fought against being part of Somalia.

It’s part of this country dumbfuck. Oh not forgetting the blonde moment from that bitch @Georgina Martina who actually spent a considerable time arguing that Kenyan Somalis were not Native Kenyans? How dumb can you be? If you guys don’t really want Somalis to be part of this country, start a movement or something. Create a referendum to remove North Eastern from Kenya. Then sit back and watch the whole Kenyan economy collapses in typical German efficiency fashion. That small town called Eastleigh literally brings in more than 50% of Nairobi’s revenue.Somalis have built this country but many will truly never appreciate that fact until we’re gone after being pushed to the wall too much. You will only know the value of something when it’s gone. End of rant.

actually you have a very valid point on somalis influencing the economy especially Nairobi and we are all Kenyans at the end of the day we shouldn’t discriminate

As long as you don’t support annexing the Eastern most section of Kenya (Why in God’s good name do they call it North Eastern?If the compass was placed at Archer’s Post which is in the dead center of Kenya then the Somali occupied areas are in the East) and want to live with other Kenyans in peace then you are Kenyans just like Kisii and Pokot.

those are just speculations, inbreeding actually does have its benefits, why do think the royals and world elites do it? Even animal breeders know of its effectiveness in polishing up specific genetic traits.
