ten years later no solution for these terrorists?somebody must be benefitting from the chaos.Ethiopians have taken less than a month to solve their small internal problem.
And why is their Military always ranked ahead as one of the strongest in Africa yet a militia like Boko Haram is giving them rough time and operates within Nigeria. What is their military doing?
Ghasiaa umeanza kujiongelesha tena … residence doc @rexxsimba kuja chapa hii nugu stopper moja atulize
He raises an interesting opinion…
But , …alas …
In the wrong forum …
I know it’s a valid discussion … just messing with @Recce
Bafffles me.with 36k people dead from the violence, seems like the situation is far from over going by the recent events
Same way our very own military is constantly outsmarted bt the skinnies. They invest in muscle in place of brains
Sometimes i see these ghaseers belittling other armies, fellow africans naskia kutwanga mtu. Militaries all over are outrun by ill equipped forces provided the opponent hss sheer determination. I think Nigerians are trying, sometimes its not about the force, but the leadership.
Have you seen ALSHABAAB occupying any part of Kenya or rather they operate from Somalia where they attack Kenya? But for Nigeria Boko Haram operate within Nigeria territory.
Siku hizi vita sio Tactics, it is all about how superior your weapons are in comparison to your enemy.
It looks like Boko Haram is better equipped than Nigerian defense forces. The better question should be, who funds Boko Haram? And why isn’t US intervening in this war, just like it has done in Syria, Iraq etc…
Boko Haram has no tanks, fighter jets ,helicopters etc.I think ni kukosa tu kujipanga. They should have won this war in 6 months Max
the US does support Nigeria in the war on terror
America has all those and still hasn’t defeated the Taliban
Because the Nigerian army is a conventional army fighting an unconventional enemy. This is essentially a counter insurgency operation which has no front lines.
The Boko Harams are always on the move and use hit and run tactics to wear, tire and demoralise the army and civilians.
hamia nigeria uwasaidie kupambana na boko harama
I’ve read that Buhari and his top army generals are secretly in cahoots with Boko Haram. Similar to how the Pakistani army was for many years secretly colluding with the Taliban.
In Kenya we have a useless army where the people in the top ranks are mostly interested in corruption like selling charcoal in Kismayu or receiving bribes for arms deals. Promotions are based on tribe rather than merit.
Thats why they often can’t even do the basics like collecting intelligence when they have a forward operating base. I watched the El Adde video when it was available on liveleak. I was shocked at how poorly guarded the camp was. There were no patrols, no sentries, and Al Shabaab just walked up to the camp in large numbers and unseen and caught the entire camp by surprise.
I say they can’t collect intelligence because it seems like the entire town knew that Al Shabaab were coming. The somalia army left their camp. Residents left their homes. And the only people who didn’t know that Al Shabaab were coming was KDF.
So Kenya is just as big a sheet-hole as Naija.
The ranking is based on how much you spend on Western weapons.
But the biggest question is who owns/funds boko haram?
The army commander might be in favour of the Bokos
