Wadau life is hard in this republic. People are hard hit, especially the youths. Yesterday I happened to visit a small town near my ocha. So I bumped into a small pub I used to frequent many years ago. So I settled down at one corner and agizad one Guinness. As the black power continued to open my eyes, I noticed that there were so many young men who seemed to recognise me, most from my village. They came over to where I was sitting and from their body language, I could see that they wanted me to buy something. The pub has an extension at the back where keg is sold. Since they were about seven guys, I ordered the barmaid to give each of them a large mug of keg beer. One of them complained that keg was too light. Since I didn’t want to be seen to favour him, I knew the solution to that. I ordered the barmaid to add to each person a ‘quarter’ of a certain spirit which was going at an affordable price. You should have seen the look on their faces as they took their drinks. They were so happy and they felt that I had been sent from heaven to make their afternoon enjoyable. They were so elated and they even asked me to go and stand for MCA in 2022. I left after taking my second Guinness since I didn’t want to attract this attention for long. I tell you vijana wako na shida hii Kenya.
Hakuna kitu poa kama kununulia mlevi hana pesa makali hata kakuota
It makes them so happy.
Hata Mimi ukinirushia ya Jameson baridi nitashukuru
right now in my local town there are loud discos za kuchangia matanga and several kids walking around with proformas za michango za sijui nini. Then there are a number of harambees lined up left right and centre. I tell you pesa haikai kwa mfuko siku hizi
Nitakuja kukununulia mbili halafu unipatie momo moja niiweke mimba!
Sure sure sure!
Wa-maitu where is the Warigia thread? I had something to say na siioni? but looks you have enjoyed sana. I give money too when in the ‘Mushatha’ environ but I feel so so so sad ndani yangu.
Sasa hatutapumua juu ulinunuliana pombe???
get the bigger picture here,
Mine is a different experience, I never understand what people who know me take me for.
Saturday after a hard day improving/securing mine and families future I call it a day and visit a home pub.
I had barely taken one beer when this idiot I have known for over 18 years calls to ask where I am.
Guy comes and complains he’s hungry amepata wife amepika githeri akasare na akatoka.
Second complaint is he’s broke as ferk and tries borrowing 2k from me but am non committal.
I order for some meat and before it is ready he starts fooling around with a barmaid known to both of us, orders a kaquarter and soda for her on my account then aggressively starts asking for the 2k.
Ningefanya?
I tell the guy off, pay for everything and stomp off.
Hiyo sasa ni kunichukulia aje?
Well played:D:D:D
Shida ya pombe sio shida my friend…
Alcohol is a lifestyle choice and luxury…
Kama ni wewe ulinunua hiyo pombe Bwana chifu, Sunday nitakurudishia mkono. Sitakagi kulewa juu ya pombe ya kununuliwa mimi.

Surely huyo alikubeba wana Sana. I can’t buy someone fombe and give them money. You have to choose one.
For Wamunyota it’s not a luxury but a necessity.
