Larry Madowo

Just watched the feature by Dennis Okari Serve and Suffer… then the discussion there after with police Spokesman Owino , Hmmm I could just see Mr Owino wanting to squash Madowo’s balls, like this guy thinks he has like big balls, trying to corner the spokesman to admit some things, for Christ’s sake Disciplined forces have rules and regulations that govern how they function…yes the documentary was untimely but I pity those Policemen who are working in such an area.
Kuna villager ambaye ni polisi atuelimishe nini kitakacho fanyika kwa wale polisi wameonekana kwa hiyo documentary na makosa yao ni nini haswa?

lakini owino can talk hard…madondo has felt the heat.

That spokesman was a disappointment. I even wonder why he went on set for the interview.

Madowo is a pathetic interviewer. Can’t hold one focus in a discussion. alikuwa anataka owino atoroke kama Moses kuria.

Manze Okari amefutisha maofisa kiholela. I thought as a cop - now that you’re not allowed by standing orders/regulation/BS - talking to any media niccurs, you are supposed to completely hide your identity. Instead NTV only blurred their faces but still went ahead to capture their voices without distortion and almost a whole lots’a details. In reality, the situation is horrendous and wanting. But then again, must they risk the job security of an officer just to create a captivating documentary?

They were prepared for that and I think huyo inspector, aliamua kama ni mbaya ni mbaya. No need to sugarcoat crap.

It is not about Madowo. That spokesman was cagey and uncooperative during the interview though Madowo shouldn’t have gotten angry. Have you seen Museveni being interviewed by Linus Kaikai? He made Kaikai feel small, I watched the interview and I was amazed.

I agree. Larry couldn’t control his emotions though the spokesman is an arrogant and self-absorbed prick. He almost came across as a person that is out of touch with what ordinary cops have to endure to serve and protect.

The challenges cops have to go through in a remote police station in Boni forest, Lamu county.

mh reaction was opposite. why blur faces then identify the police station, an outpost with few officers that need no investigation to identify. blurring was useless.

He went there to specifically pass that message, both to these and others of similar inclination. Or so I think.

Like a thinly-veiled threat so -to speak?

Blurring faces will at least make them not identifiable to the enemy alshabab/ugus, in case they’re watching.

I think it’s that guy who was mainly being interviewed that resigned just before the clip ended, however, he has managed to expose a great deal of detail to Al-Shabaab. I think I could identify with what Mr. Owino was trying to drive at. But that place is very scary with all those thick bushes huwezi jua who is watching you
