The problem is historical. Jiggers and alcohol were biological and chemical weapons fashioned against the kikekuyus by the colonialists and later by the Nyayo regime. Kibaki and Uhuru tried to reverse the effects by introducing the keg and championing safe alcohol but Jambas ni nani. The first order of business was to reinstate the liqour licenses of third generation brewers that had been suspended by Uhuru ndio kina @Straw_man wamaliswe na pombe.

Kibaki and Uhuru were going after the structural problem namely unsafe alcohol by introducing the keg and restricting the trade in ethanol. By the way gari yako ikishikwa na ethanol hata usijisumbue kufuata kwa sababu it is a direct forfeiture.

Central is not leading in alcoholism
@Sanchez11 you are an IDIOT! The gospel musician had an interview in some radio station and was then later kidnapped and dumped.

Mujinga, focus on the alcohol problem in your home in kisii.

Why didn’t he simply ban alcohol?
But it is leading in the consumption of poison disguised as alcohol. Wake me up when people go blind in Kakamega or die at the coast as a result of alcohol.
That would have led to an increase in bootlegging.

I see. So it’s a difficult problem to fix from the supply side. How about from the demand side? Kenyans spend $3.1 billion on alcohol despite being a low income country.. so we know the money is coming out of household budgets and into the government coffers.
Textbook socialism.

Those ones drink alcohol made from fermented maize, not mixed in with jet fuel, strong industrial cleaners and other suspect sources of methanol.

So you were in campus in 2012. That means you’re a thirtysomething-year-old ghaseer.
