The thread is not actually about dreadlocks. It is about bashing single mothers. How can one research kids you see on the streets to establish their mothers are single mums?

I have recently noticed a trend that is quite disturbing. Since schools closed, naona watoto wengi wadogo as young as 5 years wako na dreads kwa kichwa. Call me old fashioned or whatever, but what business does a kid have donning dreads? Dreads are considered to be for rebels kama mau mau, na wavutaji bangi. The only kids I knew wako na dredi ni wa Eko Dyddah, and that is of course for cheap publicity. Normal kids hupangishwa line kwa kinyozi, na kichwa inanyolewa safi kama baloon, nonini style.

So armed with my Forestry skills, I decided to do some small research on whose kids are this, and why their parents are so ignorant to expose their kids to such stupidity. And your guess is as good as what I expected. 7 out of 8 belonged to Single mothers. Yep, good luck bringing up those bastards to become doctors while donning dreads. I see nada wrong with dreadlocks TBH. My nephews have short neat ones. One is an Economist and doing vv well. The other one is studying architecture.
If they are not long and dirty looking all good to me. BTW dreads are our black heritage…

Those are adults…well and good. Toddlers…hapana.
Hata mi sina noma na well maintained dreads regardless how long or short they are…to each his own…but not on kids…it geels out of place for them.
Really dreads are black heritage…i thought it was a jamaican thing shaka zulu hakuwa na dreads neither did nabongo mumia, kabaka… hell i dont even think haile sellasie sported dreads.
Nikama kusema long beards are cuban heritage thanks to msito castros rebels…i always looked at dreads as a status symbol.
How many african cultures actually sported dreads…it was either long puffed maintained afro hair or kipara ngoto.
