So this young lady has been bothering me with ‘nitafutie kazi’

If i were the rest of y’all, i would have banged her with zero resistance.

So last week i bump into a buddy of mine who works in a decent-size family business… Our chat includes him sharing that he needs an accounts assistant at the family biz.

That very day nakumbuka this lady… and call her aniemail cv …i edit the CV (90% of kenyan’s CV suck) …then i forward it to the guy with a very positive recommendation.

My buddy calls her to the biz and offers her the job at 30k net of taxes, NHIF & NSSF

The lady anakataa saying ni kidogo sana

Yet where she’s at analipwa 20k kwa duka ya kuuza spares in a dusty location hapa tu Nai

Yet, hajafika hata nusu ya CPA

Yet, hii ni chance ya yeye kufanya kitu amesomea

I have to admit we young people lack is humility, patience, persistence and perseverance. We tend to think that there is a short cut to riches. We detest hard work soo much, and bragging with our parents property is the order of the day. Dear Lord show us the right way

Yangu ya kwanza ilikuwa 10k,engineer mzima.Nilinyamazia hata mzazi sikuambia,niliwaambia ni internship tu.One year down the line mzae alikuwa anaboeka akiniona anashangaa alisomeshaje engineer akuwe intern.I knew hiyo experience na responsibility mhindi alikuwa ananipea singeshikika baada ya mwaka.
Exactly one year after,niliangukia kitu mzito after kupolish CV,and had to turn down two more interviews(in firms I had dropped my CV just two months before).Experience rich humble beginnings are the best footing for a successful life.

Mostly It was a design portfolio but i was fortunate enough to get some design and build project while still in college.

when I was in primary school nakumbuka my dad gave me CVs to read…that was years ago before xaxa sema. People are jokers.
