Is there a VPN client that is not blocked by the service providers to access foreign content nowadays?
In Iran, any attempt to use a Govt non-approved VPN may result in up to a year in prison.
It’s bad bad that ISPs can clearly see that you’re using a VPN to encrypt, and if push comes to shove, the Govt can demand that your traffic is logged, beating the purpose of a VPN in the first place. If it’s a must that I have to use VPN, for whatever reason, then I’ll use those same Govt approved VPNs, behind a Tor browser, to access cloud hosted Endpoint, say a Virtual Windows 11 or a Linux box, on dedicated RAM &CPU for elevated performance. That way, hata kama serikali Iko na mkono mrefu, it will take them quite some time to decrypt my traffic
Mwisi…
In my case, it is mainly to watch TV channels in Kenya from other locations like Germany which would otherwise be unavailable if not accessed via a VPN that terminates to that country’s ISPs/ IP addresses… or for anything else
A lot of fre VPNs on the market.
Ama go for socks proxies
Explain further on socks proxies… And any documentation to use them
They are just proxies. They mask your IP.
Sawa… I understand it very well… the only thing is that you need to have access to secure proxy server in the country you are trying to access… since the actual access will be from that proxy server in that country, geolocation blocking will be stopped… but that will mean that you would require a proxy server for each country you are trying to access… unless again you subscribe to a service that has proxy servers in all target countries and therefore you will subscribe only once… Ama ni aje?
Do we have a consolidator for secure global proxy servers?
What exactly are your needs?
Do you need to hide your ip ama?
Kuna alot of types of proxies.
Rotating proxies
Static proxies
All I need is to cheat remote servers that I am accessing them from their soil.. Like in Germany, it should show that I am in Germany… That is - to overcome Geoblocking… I have paid for NordVPN and ExpressVPN before but I cannot access my out of country TV stations now because they are being detected as out of country sources
Say you want germany only.
You’ll look for a proxy provider offering STATIC proxies from germany.
You can either go for residential or data center. (A STATIC PROXY REMAINS THE SAME.)
say you just want to connect to many countries apart from Germany.
In that case, you’ll use a ROTATING PROXY.
rotating means, one minute you are in the USA, the next minute you are in France.
Rotating proxies are handy if you do something like scraping
I have seen rates from IPRoyal and they charge per GB like US$ 1.75! That is crazy… I used to access ZDF Germany, Australia 9, France TVs, etc
From my experience, I’ve tried a few different ones to get around content restrictions. A while ago, I used the hidden wiki to find some recommendations and found that VPNs with a good reputation for privacy and obfuscation were more successful at bypassing blocks.
For example, some VPNs offer features like stealth modes or obfuscation that make it harder for service providers to detect and block them. It’s worth checking out reviews and seeing which ones are currently working best for unblocking content.
