It’s actually not advisable to shut down your pc.
There is no memory advantages over that. Because the latest manufacturers have installed a quickboot feature on the latest windows such that shut down just puts offthe screen but the ongoing processes are maintained in the background so that when you switch on next time the pc will boot fast.
So what should one do? Leave the computer on?

Bullshit. Hybrid shutdown logs the user out then saves the system state to disk so on next boot instead of initializing all the drivers etc it just restores the previous state. There are disadvantages (like if a device was malfunctioning it might continue to do so) but saying it only turns of the screen is false.
