In Kenya the governance system allows too much polticking and noise that rarely gets anything done. No long term planning as politicians do anything for votes example being Nairobi. Policies change depending on who gets elected in the next election. A good example Affordable housing will be abolished if Riggy G came to power. Ruto Uhuru abolished Kibaki JKIA Greenfield terminal upon taking power.

Democracy was brought by the whites to kill our development. Our nations have not yet reached the level of having democracy. The whites, after building their countries and putting in place good administrative systems, then introduced democracy.
The Roman Empire that was around for 100s of years has shown that it is better to have a democracy in the end. The glory of authoritarianism, is short lived in that a Nero style leader will come to power and there will be no mechanism to unselect such a leader. Its no wonder that Singapore is a democracy.
