I also read that Gabon is the largest importer of chicken from the US. Kenyans should go there to raise broilers.

NCPB should be buying rice the way they buy maize from RV farmers. Rice is a cereal just like maize. But instead jambas is using the zoomali islii cartels to finish rice farmers.
Sad that a sugarcane farmer in mumias takes sugar imported from brazil due to the selfish JSKS sugar cartels that have killed local sugar industry so that they can reap billions in imports.

… nope. The leaders lack leadership skills. They are politicians and only care about votes. So the problem is leadership. They should be leading the citizens.. and discourage the unproductive culture.
So you think the citizens are innocent? From the minute you step out of the house, you are suspicious of the maid you left back home, you are suspicious of the Matatu conductor, you are suspicious of the Matatu driver, you are suspicious of the price most vendors give to you, etc etc. Because you know on your heart, from top to bottom, Wakenya ni WAKORA. Kenyans produce food that is mostly exported to Europe… mangoes, avocado, tomatoes, onions, coffee, tea… A LOT OF FOOD, actually, that can feed Kenyans sufficiently.
Then turn and import low quality food from Tanzania and Uganda that cannot make it to Europe because of EU regilations.
These same people have the nerve to question another country that imports from elsewhere.

It makes sense to grow high value crops that you export then use the cash to buy cheap food like maize from neighbours. Same way a dairy farmer would fill his land with napier for milk production and buy maize from neighbours coz milk is more valuable than maize.
You don’t need a leader to tell you to keep chicken. Even in developed countries it is private companies and individuals who take the initiative to create wealth, not leaders or govt.

The government will encourage farming, ensuring there is ferterlizer, there is a conducive environment.. [no conflicts] market availability etc.
Cheki pale nyahururu.. maziwa huwa inamwagwa.. cabbage zinaoza, nyanya zinatupwa.. no roads etc.
In fact the farmers should be super rich.
