If these are the reasons, I strongly feel that they are not enough, not legit. But I believe and predict that very soon in the near future, every TV remote control will be rechargeable. Some will be inbuilt batteries, some will be replaceable.
Bluetooth is slowly but surely becoming a common-place feature in smart TVs nowadays. LG trail blazed and TCL got the cue. Haier Mooka just announced their 2019 products, all of which are launching with Bluetooth inbuilt. If a TV has Android Oreo as it’s OS, chances are are it has Bluetooth and Chromecast.
Kisha, the smartest among us will introduce alexa-like smart gadgets in Kenya and… and things just won’t be the same again!
Yaani, a single gadget operates all the the other connected gadgets in your home. All, including door locks, alarm system, lights, fridges, everything!
Not necessarily a gadget, you just need a good input device like a sensitive microphone or a 3d display for touch and then an os to control the software.
Smart teevees.
May they make them damn things even smarter. For instance, how about sim/sd card slots and anti-theft features? How about the tv being a wifi hotspot?
The remote control is for everyone else in the house who needs to operate the TV. You don’t want to hand over your smartphone to your adolescent daughter to change the channels when you are in the middle of the sex and relationships section of KTalk, do you?
