Which one is cheaper? Getting oil from Nigeria or middle east? We don’t just do things because it is a matter of Africa for Africans.

If there was a network of pipelines within Africa then it would be cheaper to get oil from Nigeria or Algeria than from Saudi by ship.

Pipeline is the most cost effective means of transporting liquids and gases

Oil haijalishi inatoka wapi, lazima wenye wanainunua watumie US dollars kuinunua. Vile tunatumia US dollars kununua stima yetu huko Turkana.

Dangote’s oil is cheaper and he is looking to sellit to all Africa (EA+SA) and the world bank is going after him to to sell at higher pricing

There real fears of sabotage of the pipelines by the many many islamist groups in all the countries a pipeline would have to pass. Si today you posted about Nigerians getting cooked at a pipeline.

The cost of purchasing oil in Naija is not the problem. Freight via huko chini capr town is the problem. Ni expensive. Sahizi it can be an option though.

Correct

Kenya we had a refinery which operated under moi regime.

Kibaki closed the refinery and introduced independent power producers using fuel for electricity

The refinery was severely ineffecient bro, it had been ghulwad by kartels and could not handle modern crude oil classes. It made more economic sense to shut down and import

You are an IDIOT! The world oil prices are set by opec and are standard but transport from the middle east is much cheaper than from Nigeria. So it makes sense for kenya to import from the middle east which is nearer and cheaper than Nigeria.

It is cheaper to import refined fuel than to import crude oil then refine it. Also the imported refined fuel meets international standard unlike importing crude oil then relying on kathiongo and suudi to refine it to run Japanese and German car engines. Wataongeza maji messing up your engines.

The refinery was also very old and inefficient producing expensive fuel of suspicious quality. Its just like our outdated sugar factories that can’t compete andits makes more sense to import cheaper sugar from Brazil.

Traore is losing badly against JNIM. JNIM has about 50% of the country. Cops and military shoot anyone on the streets and nothing will be done. Hii tunaona ni amplified propaganda.
