No no but what is so strategic about it. Every year, we throw billions with a B at JKIA and Kenya airways. They have so far contributed to hundreds of billions to our debt. What do we have to show for it? Nothing NADA ZERO ZILCH. We are in debt because of a stupid airport that has never been useful to us.
What is strategic about it. And even if it is strategic, what exactly would it help us with? It is only good for landing and taking off planes.
The only people who are genuinely crying are LAZY EMPLOYEES who are afraid of working for a management company that forces them to account for their salaries.
Safaricom was the same shit for years. Kimoi used to charge kenyans 50 shillings per minute for calls and think he was doing us a favor
“The only people who are genuinely crying are LAZY EMPLOYEES who are afraid of working for a management company that forces them to account for their salaries.”
And Ruto could not get a “management company that forces them to account for their salaries” in Kenya or other countries, so he was forced to go to equally corrupt indians who have never ran a profitable airport, right? You are an arsehole.
Exactly, which other country would be willing to take on a shitty airport that is crumbling? If we invited a US company, they would probably not be interested. You are assuming companies just invest billions of dollars in a third would country’s shitty infrastructure on request.
They just have billions to waste, and do it for the sake of it. There is a lot of risk that goes into the matrix, and probably an indian firm was the only one wiling to take on the added risk.
Very unfortunate that the elected leaders are the ones responsible all the mess happening. Wanafikiria for themselves first before thinking about the public
