Why accuse Jomo while Tom Mboya was his best friend and his KANU Secretary general? NB at independence the kikuyu and luo came together to form KANU which was led by Jomo as party leader and Tom Mboya was Kanu secretary general. Infact KANU was formed in 1960 after the merger of KAU led by Jomo and KIM led by Mboya. The other tribes especially kalenjins and coastal people were against this union and advocated for majimbo and thus formed KADU party led by Moi and Ronald Ngala from the coast. So Kikuyus and Luos have been friends since day 1 when kenya gained independence. Later Moi dissolved KADU and joined KANU and then Jaramogi defected from KANU to form KPU and this caused rivalry between him and Mboya who was KANU SG.
Jomo was a uniting factor in Kenya because after forming a govt with the luo he wooed the kalenjins, coastal people and all other people into KANU and all kenyans were in KANU until jaramogi left to form the opposition KPU. Uhuru also wooed every one into Jubilee, including having a handshake with Raila to woo the luo, until ruto and his people left to form URP.

41 against 1 was the crudest form of ethnic mobilization the country has ever seen. The saddest part is that the crimes and excesses of a few Kikuyu elite were heaped on the whole community. If Jakuon had channeled his ire against the so called “Mount Kenya Mafia” instead of the Kikuyu community, saa hii angekuwa Retired President Raila baadala ya former PM Raila.

He will never be forgiven by the agikuyu for the 41 vs 1 strategy in 2007 which ended up with kikuyus being attacked nearly all over the country. Even the US warned him against that strategy as can be seen in the leaked Wikileaks classified document by the then US ambassador Ranneberger. That is why I always support and thank Uhuru, Kibaki, Michuki, Karua, Nyachae, Saitoti etc for standing against Raila and his pentagon lieutenants Ruto, Mdvd, Balala, Nyaga who mobilised their people against the agikuyu with RV being the most affected. Nyaga died a miserable man for plotting against his own people.
