We’re Ready to Unite With Russia, Belarus Leader Lukashenko Says
Sijui kama hii ni propaganda from Russia coz. media in the west is not reporting it. Then it has to be noted this same president a few months ago said merging the two countries will not happen since Belarus will lose its sovereignty…Oh and Belarus means “white Russia”
Yetu macho
At the Time when USSR was disintegrating, these countries left with zero debt, but, accumulated yuuge debts within a very short time, some countries are still heavily entangled in debt, with no way out.
Guess, the most logical thing to do is go back to mother Russia.
Belarus is just a region of Russia. Without Russia, Belarus collapses. It buys gas from Moscow at a fraction of the cost of what other countries pay. Lukashenko is older than Putin but he is his little bitch
Si most Belarusians speak Russian pia ama?
Yes, even its secret police is still referred to as KGB
They do.So do Ukrainians.
Since the usa imposed sanctions I don’t know for what, it expected to slow down Russia economy and slow down its reemergence as a powerful global force. Well President Putin looked inwards for a solution. More finances were put into self production and reliance. Factories were revived for local production. What they used to import from Europe now had local competing products. Farming took off and they were processed locally to add value. The end result is a booming local manufacturing and production that has made him more popular in Russia. Now he is raving up the same in the communist satellite states of former USSR. Belarus is taking up that initiative fully. They want to produce more for itself and for mother Russia. In the end Russia continues to rebuild old alliances and new ones using trade. The one thing the usa wasn’t expecting or thought the sanctions would limit them from doing. eu is now loudly asking to drop the sanctions as they continue to lose the highly priced Russia market to new players. They feel unlike usa they are directly losing on both scenarios. This is particularly true for Germany.
They have been pressuring Germany to drop the nordstream pipeline for expansive US gas but Germany won’t have it .At some point ,once China becomes a true superpower ,I see Europe breaking ranks with the US in regards to Russia and China policies since sanctions will no longer be effective .It will be hard for export oriented Germany to simply ignore a huge market of over 140 million people just because Anglo-Saxons sitting in Washington do not want Russia to rise and grow .
A nightmare scenario for them is Russia-China military alliance and deep Germany Russian economic ties .They are currently doing everything to prevent that from happening .
Do y’all have to place US into every problem in this world. Most Americans will tell you Belarus is a pet dog if asked, let alone a country.
Nordstream is a German priority. Cheap reliable gas for heating and industry. They gave up their nuclear power and for Germany to continue as the 3 biggest economy then it needs more different streams of cheap energy for its manufacturing plants. A battle of wits and pride will not be allowed to disrupt future German industry growth. Remember the immediate former German Chancellor is Gazprom Chairman. That’s how much they value Russia natural gas in europe. Germany is also buying record setting power from France nuclear plants during winter and fall. The irony of that is they gave up their own nuclear plants. During spring and summer Germany is setting new heights is renewable power usage from wind and solar during the day to supplement its base power. Basically the usa can’t divorce Russia from europe. Its natural gas is abundant, cheap and reliable for industry. Their trade will only grow not slow down. Meanwhile China is two years away from completing its $50 billion gazprom line to China through the harsh Siberian frozen winter. Another massive market for its gas.
Libtard legacy ya merkel. They gave up nuclear and are now buying power from France because of the liberal energy policies of building wind and solar plants. And now they want to make the same mistake in Kenya? Huyu merkel karibu aharibu nchi.
Its was domestic pressure from the green party which over the decade has specialized in propping up one party numbers in a close elections to get sufficient seats to govern and form a government. However the price is that they force the government to give them one big concession on the energy sector I.e give up nuclear power and we join your coalition to form government or we go back to another elections.
On Russia, yes.On China.No.
At no point will the EU ever have anything in common with China, except on Trade, and that will cease the moment Trump leaves office.
Russia at least, they see fellow Europeans who can adopt Western values(Russia actually has, in some twisted oligarchy way).
China is seen as a dictatorship hell bent on spreading a form of Government that promotes censorship across the globe. And as long as France is a major part of the EU, China will be seen as an enemy.Even right now, the French are even bigger supporters of the purging of Huawei from the EU than America is!!
Russia and Germany do have deep historic ties and strong trade links. That is not the case when it comes to the EU and China. In fact, the EU has many of the tarrifs that Democrats are decrying the US is imposing on Chinese products like the anti-dumping tariffs it has on Chinese steel and solar panels(They impose these against Russia as well , but I noted that the rate is 30% for Russian steel and 100% for Chinese, highlighting clearly who the EU prefer).
Of course, Donald Trump in a moment of idiocy, actually created a temporary alliance between the EU and China on trade in 2018 because he also imposed tariffs on American allies, but that is unlikely to last for long. Right now, the EU Commission is up in arms over how China has acquired assets in nations like Greece and is using them as leverage to force Greece to support pro China ideals in the EU.That includes forcing the EU to look away when China does something unethical. As usual, France has been the noisiest and given its is the second anchor of the EU after Germany, you can bet the EU will be increasingly anti-China from no on.
As for Russia and China militarily coming together, not really. Russia can hold on its own against the West. All it has to do is threaten them with nuclear destruction and they all slink back, as Britain has done.Twice.
China on the other hand has copy pasted Russian millitary technology and Russia is not interested in selling them any more advanced weaponry.(The Chinese J-15 is a carbon Copy of the Russian SU-33. In fact, One Russian politician said"Cheaters never propser". That jet is giving the Chinese stress!)The most advanced weaponry the Russians have given the Chinese is the S-400 and that was because they already had the S-500 in development
Belarus is Okay. They know whats good for them. Unlike Ukraine and Somalia
Belarus literally means “White Russia”.
A fair majority in Eastern Ukraine speak Russian.
Western Ukraine speak Ukrainian and have a heavy hatred of Russia due to years of conquest beginning with the Tsars and oppression especially after Stalin’s reign which caused the Holodomor- a massive manmade famine that wiped out almost half of the population at the time.
Ukrainians can speak with Russians each in their own languages yet understand each other.
Ukrainian and Russian are both Slavic languages so they share the same roots.
They don’t however share the same nationalism.
Yes. Ukrainian, Russian and Belorussian are all Eastern Slavic languages. Closer than just sharing roots. However, Western Europe managed to drive a wedge between Ukrainians and Russians because NATO. Just like they drove a wedge between North Koreans and South Koreans.
Some years to come sanctions won’t mean much and USA, western countries won’t be calling the shots
