They are ignored and they teach under very difficult conditions. Most rural primary schools are just mud huts with 60 year old benches from colonial times. No power, no floor, jiggers everywhere, crowds of pupils in one class, no white board(chokaa ni outdated), no stationery. The teachers usually do parenting for pupils and students otherwise the whole system would collapse.
Schools in places like in mt elgon and coast are just a tree.
