I want to gift someone this ka-phone. Any reason I shouldn’t buy it? Mind you, before you over judge me on how cheap I am, the person I want to gift uses those China button phones. Matusi wekeni kando.

Specs and Price

Do they offer warranty? And where is the physical location of their service centre? If they don’t have a physical address for their service center don’t go for it. These type of phones have a lifespan of less than a year and they malfunction even when new.

I don’t care about service centers or warranties. Hio phone mchingu ako nayo ndio iko na service center?

This phone is not even on gsm arena. I wont recommend you go for it. But kama unatambua mchinku you can go for it.

Kairetu why bother explaining yourself? I am also shopping for a phone I promised my 9 year old son for consistent grades. Imagine my dilemma.

Check out techno or infinix reviews on gsm arena. None. Nada. Does it mean the phones are not good?
You may not believe this but almost 95% of all smart phones sold in Kenya are either infinix or tecno. Hata kwa safaricom shops. Balance of the market shared by oppo, Samsung and huawei.

If its susceptible to bloatware, itamsumbua tu with that 512mb ram. Hanging saa zote….

Unasahau wapi xiaomi:D
95% is too much sio kila mtu ni peasant, maybe 60% (tecno, infinix & itel)
Samsung has also major users na pia kuna brands kama Nokia, Huawei, Xiaomi, oppo , apple etc huezi niambia hii ni ya only 5 percent wacha mchezo bana

according to canalys still samsung is top In Africa. only if You combine all three brands of Transsion Holdings (Itel, Tecno and Infinix), Samsung will be second.

things you must know.
-That phone use processor called cortex A7, it is old and slow one, even small application will lag in that cpu.
-512mb ram is not acceptable in today standards
-it lack android go which is optimizide for low speced phone.

for that budget why dont you go for carrier like Safaricom and Look for subsidized device? with atleast 1gb ram?

That’s Africa we’re talking of Kenya boss, Major seller in Kenya ni tecno na infinix na itel obviously but not by that percentage that guy mentioned… Unajua Africa ni kubwa sana, Tecno na Infinix are common in Kenya & Nigeria so hizo zingine ndio maybe zinatumia Samsung sana…

niaje @Chloe , wanna go halves on a baby?

Why don’t you just buy them a Tecno like other peasantry humanoids, W3x goes for 7500 or Nokia 1 for 9500.
512MB ram ataishi kukulaani hio akiweka WhatsApp na operamini tosha

Cortex A7, 512 ram? Mtoto ni wa 12 yrs? Nunua. Lakini kama ni mtu mzima na hauna pesa mnunulie socks ama tie.

512 ram 8gb internal, marshmallow in 2018,i mean unless u wanna torture the pool kid, just get him a potable dvd player akuwe akiwatch zile movies za dj afro

Buy something decent. You should always interrogate value whether you are the end user or not. Why waste your money on something he won’t use for more than a few days. You might also need to borrow the same phone one of these days.

Fuata hii mawaidha. Go for the Itel android Go Phone ni 6k tu

Hero tu uchukue Nokia @ 7k

The interesting thing is that the transsion holdings models took over the mid and entry level market long time ago, even within major safaricom retail outlets. Note the premium segment is negligible.
They operate outside of formal distribution channels and therefore ‘official’ data is deliberately difficult to come by, however, if there are phone dealers in the house, they can confirm what I am saying.
