ViuTravel namalisa Bonfire adventures

They say make hay while the sun shines.
In the years 2011 to 2020, Jambo Jambo aka The Kabus dominated the tour and travel industry so much so, that they would be consulted by National Tv’s and popular Bloggers in such matters. They were almost a monopoly.
They made tons of money which was reflected in their lavish lifestyles and shenanigans in the social media circles. Like that time kabu bought his wife Sarah a Range Rover Sport for her 40th birthday.
Then came covid and they were dealt a major blow.
In the post covid era, I have noticed a number of tuors and travel companies coming up forcefully to grab that piece of this cake.

Viu Travel is one of them. Others are Expedition Maasai Safaris and Chams Travel (Owned by Alex Chamwanda).
I heard that in 2016, Kabu was offered mbirrions to sell a stake of Bonfire to a major media house but akaringa.
This has left Bonfire struggling to regain the lost glory by massively advertising on Facebook and other popular sites. From the comments sections of their posts, you can tell that they aren’t doing so well.
I just hope that they had invested in a few residentials or other lucrative side hustles to cushion their current predicament coz it does not look as good as it was in the good old days…

The market size is big enough to accommodate all

Really?
But do you remember the tours and travel companies of pre-2009?
Somak Travel, Big five safaris, Pollmans Safaris among others.
They are a pale shadows of their former selves. The competition for the few local and foreign tourists is cut throat.

Mi nakumbuka Bunson’s , very old company but their offers were pocket friendly, that time nilikua nanyonga na sabuni ya family. Saa hii bunson wanadeal na makaratasi za consultative services. Ingine ilikua Amicabre, good service but kiburi mingi from their call center when looking for deals,. Saa hii wamechapa kuruka. Others were Abercrombie and kent. Youngings can’t remember

Wah. Thanks for this
Kwanza Bunsons Travel were placing their advert on the front page of the Daily Nation, everyday!
What Bonfire did was to take advantage of the then social media explosion to tap the market. But now he is being beaten in his own game…

Hizi biashara huwa laundry machine. Siku moja mtakuja kuelewa

I thought VIUSASA WAS THE KENYAN NETFLIX.

Abercrombie kuna Boy wangu alikuwa anachapa works huko. 2010 mjamaa after tour alikuwa anatuchafua na mizinga za wines. Zile zilikuwa zinabaki. Alikuwa boy wa nguvu Sana. Lakini after atoke huko maisha ina muokota makahasho mbaya mbovu.

The more the merrier.

Kuna time nilikuwa naBinja Granddaughter WA Pollmans…
Uuuwiii. Sema kuwekewa Manisha poa

Hii nini fisi? Alafu sista in-law ulianza kukadara?

Leta hekaya

I’ve never really done a vacation with a travel agency like Bonfire. I prefer a more personalized experience.

Usijaribu hata, hao jamaa unless unajua mtu personally kwa staff yao especially kwa department ya product offerings to get you something worth your money ama utauzia takataka kama holiday, they are very good at getting the cheapest shit then upselling, locally hawako mbaya sana but outside utafanyiwa kazi mbaya.

Siku hizi with Airbnb, uber, Gugu maps and youtube you are able to create your own adventure

Upuss. Sasa viu travem ndio nini. The way you hyped the dead Viusasa you are now back hyping viutravel. Umerogwa ama?

makahasho?

How old are you kizangila?

I used to chase the mechanics of those tour vans to sell lubricants in those days. walikuwa vey proud keeping you waiting kwa reception for one hour.

Am Lord wanaruona.

Tours companies zimejaa manze, watu ukiwaonyesha pahali pesa iko it’s usually a matter of time kiosks ziwe kila mahali. But the greatest gainers ni hizi agencies kama Galileo na Amadeus
