If I was Fed Chairman Mr: Jerome Powell , I would have a battery of Fed Lawyers ready with preventive injunctions ready and a fully briefed Congressional Finance and Budget Oversight Committee at the ready ..

Great. Now tell me, will a trade deficit increase or reduce unemployment/interest rates? The problem with people like you is you allow your biases to block even your basic thinking capacities. No leader is perfect, no solution is perfect. Every action has a price. What I don’t like is people like you pretending you know everything to the extent you pretend you can even predict the future. Before too many of the ignorant in here start running their mouths here , it is important for them to understand the role played by the US Federal Reserve Bank and in particular , the expertise and experience of it’s current Chairman , Jerome Powell.
Just like the current Canadian Prime Minister , he is a seasoned Economist with an excellent CV in economics , money management and trade matters.
He runs the Federal Reserve Board with equally qualified , non-political professionals and no one ( …except Trump… ) has anything negative to say about this highly respected and knowledgeable old man.

Just like he cannot fire a Federal Judge or a member of the US Supreme Court.
