Been to my bank for an emergency unsecured personal loan, been told CBA no longer offers such loans. Which is embarrassing for someone who’s channeled his salary through the bank for 5 years.
I am currently scouting for a bank which can offer such loans, so that I can change my banker. Any recommendations?

try KCB and stanchart. CBA offers only to those with corporate agreements

Banks have been a bit tight fisted of late and are tightening their lending tendencies even if its a check-off, go to a sacco
I also have an account with CBA. Everytime I ask for a loan, ni madharau. I turned all my 3 accounts into entertainment accounts (kwanza CBA loop)! I was at the loop store and I am being told that now if I move my salary to CBA Loop I will be able to access loans! The irony is that even my Standard CBA account was not able to access loans.
So one day after chama yetu ya wamama, we are told that we can access much higher loans as a chama having an account at a Bank (name withheld as the Bank is my competitor). After further discussions I go to investigate on SACCO loans: my shock on how it is easier.
