So far, it’s just speculation, Trump is highly unpredictable, but he enjoys scaring people. Nobody knows what he’ll say before he actually says it–no one expected that recent blistering televised dressing down of Zelensky, for example.
However, Ukraine is at the core of this NATO exit talk. Even if he forces a policy shift on NATO to plug endless US spending on an outfit it clearly doesn’t need, I tend to think the US will still have to remain involved in Ukraine to recoup the expenditure it has so far sunk into the war.
Trump cannot remove the US from NATO without Congressional Approval.
