U.S. ADMITS THE REAL MOTIVE IN VENEZUELA.
In a recent address, U.S. Southern Command chief General Laura Richardson said out loud what Washington has long denied:
that its true concern in Latin America is not democracy or human rights, but control over oil, lithium, gold, and rare earth minerals, the raw materials that sustain Western militaries, industries, and empires.
Richardson openly singled out Venezuela, a nation sitting on the planet’s largest proven oil reserves and vast deposits of strategic minerals.
For decades, Washington’s policies of sanctions, coups, and economic warfare have been justified in the name of ‘freedom’ or ‘democracy promotion’.
But her remarks confirm what millions across the Global South already knew: this has always been about taking over markets, not liberation.
From the jungles of the Amazon to the oil-rich Orinoco Belt, U.S. power operates like a 21st-century colonial enterprise, draining nations of their wealth while branding resistance as “dictatorship.”
The empire does not defend democracy; it defends access.
And when a nation like Venezuela refuses to kneel, it becomes the next target in a long line of regime change projects stretching from Baghdad to Caracas.

General Richardson did not make a mistake.
She told the truth.
The empire has spoken, and it is not peace it wants.
It is possession.
