@gashwin, ulijaribu Score™ ama Rooster™ filterless cigarettes?
Thanks darl.
Hakuna tobacco sijavuruta…Hata rooster, ten cent na star yenye wamadhe wajaluo huvuta moto ukiwa ndani:D:D:D
hehe those brands bana. I also remember you were a fixer in the tobacco industry in western/nyanza region
Congratulations @gashwin!! This is as brave a decision as you’re ever going to make. Went through a similar process after smoking for 10 years. That was eons ago:D. Only difference … didn’t smoke all my shit. I deliberately bought my “last packet”, smoked one stick and told myself that was the last one.
The rest, as they say, is history. I kept the 19 sticks for 6 months and every time my chest was literally bursting for a smoke, I would look at the packet and say “I’m not touching you”. After the 6 months (when I started getting irritated by secondary smoke), I was quite confident I was not going back and gave away the remaining sticks :D:D.
The pitfalls you should be on the lookout for are instances when your mind tells you that you need to congratulate yourself for not smoking … by taking one puff :rolleyes::rolleyes:. That will take you right back. Stay strong!!
Hapo sawa. Let’s assume the cost of a pack of cigarettes cost Kshs 140 and you smoked a pack on a daily basis in the past 10 years.
Sh140 per pack X 365 X 10 = Kshs 511,000
You’re hurting BAT by walking away.
Good move @gashwin. My Dad battled with smoking alikuwa ana buy a pack ya embassy kings every day, akiwa drinks could do almost two packs in a day. He had developed that deep cough chronic smokers get, he cut down to a packet a week but with drinking bado alikuwa fegi mbaya.
Turning point came after he suffered a stroke march 2016 sad point but atleast he’s been off drinks na sigara to date. He’s recovering really well the cough healed on its own…
In the last 14 years I have switched between brands from SM to Embassy Lights and Kings then settled on Sportsman. I have attempted quitting severally with the most successful attempt being 3 weeks off the stick.
@gashwin, congrats for the strong resolve. Hold on to the conviction. Let me muster enough courage to face it head on
:D:D:D:Dnilikuja kuona mimi si shareholder…
All the best @gashwin It’s not an easy battle but it can be won.
Jaribu Rooster, like a punch in the chest. Damn!
wow…all the best @gashwin

More wind in your sails buddy. I saw first hand the struggle my father went through trying to quit cigarettes and then my uncle going to India to get his leg cut…, i hate cigarettes and all kinds of smoke. Even if its basking from a stone hearth on a cold dawn i wait till there are embers
congrats. second day today. can’t take it anymore. am going out for a puff.
