GPRS was the fastest way to connect to the Internet for the majority, while a good number of devices had Edge, like the L7; if you were moneyed enough, there was the high range of Nokia E-series and N-series that were 3G enabled.
The L7 was bomb. Sleek and stylish with a slim bezel. The 2inch screen with a resolution of 170x220 pixels was “extra large” and accorded me enough real estate to watch equally low-res NSFW clips.
Did I mention it had a massive 11Mb of storage? Phone book ilikuwa haijai!!!
I sold off the phone after it started draining the battery and bought a Nokia 6230, then sold off that one and bought a Nokia E72 Chinese clone at Mwembe Tayari.
The Chinese clone served me for sometime until some thugs saw that they deserved it more than I do.
Back in the day Motorola phones were the shiite. They were toe to toe with Nokia. Bothe of these brands are now struggling. What happened? In my opinion, these two brands did not adopt Android fast.enough
the iPhone happened and it was a downward trajectory for the two giants. Nokia tried to bring in some iPhone competitors with their own OS, but they didn’t sell well in the West. Motorola stuck with Windows Mobile (windows CE) for smartphones which was a bad bet.
A mention of this phone brings sad memories to my world. On the fateful night (back in 2006) I had gone with my friends to hit one for the road… Abbas Kumbaff was in the local. After a few more I was introduced to shisha having taken kenya king mzinga. Long story short I woke up in a balcony with my friends and the phone gone. Up-to-date I don’t trust friends
Very young then, I had a Motorola L7 I had bought from a relative to upgrade from Nokia 2310. Waptrick mambo bad. Alafu ilikuwa na earphones za bass na surround system while others like Nokia were mono. na pia ilikuwa inakuja na memcard ya 128mb ngoma haikuwa inaniwacha. I then bought the L9 successor which was even more badass with a 256mb memcard. Hiyo L9 nilivunja screen baada ya kuirusha kama nimekasirika just the other say. Niko nayo bado mahali.
Ilikua inaitwa phonerotica. Huko ndio nilijua Mone Devine. Back then she was then she was something. Siku hizi amechapa yeye hupigwa DP saa hio mukiya inakamuliwa na dick mbili mzito mzito
My first phone was the Motorola c113
Then I upgraded to a Samsung j700 in 2009
Served me well for almost 3 years until someone shined his eyes on it one night when I was drunk I take good care of my gadgets I still have my first laptop bought in 2008 but imechapa that j700 is the only phone that I have ever lost
