Puff Adders (Bitis arietans) are strictly nocturnal. People often get bitten after dawn or at night
A dangerous snakes with a powerful cytotoxic venom. Antivenom is available, but people often die of secondary damage. Horrible necrosis develop and lead to terrible and dangerous infections.
Males usually have longer tails than females. Females tails are very short compared to the body length.
The average size of an adult Puff Adder is around 1-1.2m.

A brown house snake is a natural pest controller. Kama uko na keja Iko na compound, it will be rodent free without spending on fumigation. Good to have around

The Gaboon viper or adder(Bitis gabonica) is a viper species found in the rainforests and savannas of sub-Saharan Africa.

Like all other vipers, it is venomous and has the highest venom yield of any snake.

A bite causes rapid swelling, intense pain, severe shock, and local blistering. It may cause uncoordinated movements, uncontrolled defecation and urination, swelling of the tongue and eyelids, convulsions, and unconsciousness.

Hi story in hekaya. I used to hear it a lot growing up. I have read a lot about snakes and I can tell you hakuna nyoka hu bleat Kama mbuzi. A python is an ambush hunter, once it grabs you with its backward facing teeth, the coils do the rest.
