Ashanti means slave traders. :D:D:eek::eek::eek:

Ndio hio in full :

Did you know that when white peoples decided to abolish transatlantic slavery, the Ashanti from current Ghana were opposed to the end of slavery and went as far to start a war with the British who were patrolling the sea to enforce the abolition of slavery?

Many African kingdoms were opposed to the end of slavery! And went far as to start war to keep the practice!

Did you know that the French have to fight a war with the King of Dahomey to stop them capturing people to sell and further give them money and ask them to grow nut palms instead of trading their bothers and sisters?

I’m writing a full length post on the many kingdoms in Africa who were voluntary, active and defendant of the continuation of slavery even when the Europeans decided to abolish the evil thing.
Africans are not angels nor devils, they are humans like everyone else, and many of the captured people were done by Africans and willingly sold to the whites.
The Ashanti identity even comes from slave trade. Literary Ashanti means slave traders in west Africa and they built their wealth and power on slave trading.
The same for many tribes you’d discover in my upcoming article.
Unfortunately, most of the so called African elite are descendants of those slave traders families and their family DNA is about selling Africans to foreigners. That’s what they learned from their ancestors and that’s what they keep doing nowadays.
Naming them would be just the start of the healing process.

yes very nice

That happened just like some Africans were opposed to African countries being granted independence because they were benefiting individully at the time. E.g colonial administrators like Michuki/mahihu and other collaborators were fighting the mau mau and were opposed to independence for .ke

This is very true. We have seen the likes of Chief Kivoi who sold massive numbers of Africans to Arab slave traders.

We also know that Kivoi sold off his very own Kamba people who were shipped off from Ukambani and Mombasa by Arabs and then sold off to Spaniards and Portuguese who shipped them off to Paraguay.

It’s true, but the British didn’t abolish slavery because their conscience could no longer allow it. It was their way of promoting the industrial revolution. They abolished slavery simply because the alternative was more efficient. So these Africans have been doing roaring business for centuries then all of a sudden the British tell them you can no longer do this shit.

True. But the British also stopped the Arabs to destroy any trade competion in the Indian ocean. To this day the Omani Arabs in Lamu have never recovered. They are very poor and their kids regularly join Shabab.

Meanwhile the same Britons used Indian slaves to build the lunatic express and proceeded to use African slaves to build the modern day Kenya republic. African slaves continue to work in British owned tea, coffee and tobacco farms and factories. They are paid peanuts.

The Kenya police as well as KDF are just a continuation of British slavery as well. The police were used to keep the Kenyan slaves in line using brute force.

The whole government machinery of Kenya is a continuation of British slavery. Including polisi na jeshi. Infact the army still dresses in the same red uniform from that era.

They only stopped singing and marching to British war songs recently. The state house used to be the governor’s mansion. It should’ve been demolished and an African one built in place.

Ken Saro wiwa, aptly captured it in his “Africa kills her Sun(son)”
The greatest enemy to Africa is Africans!! Jungle software still blames everyone but themselves!!
The best genes seems to have been sold to slavery, retards physically built with no brains were left behind, hence the outcome of the 21st century

But these “best genes” were stupid enough to be captured into slavery by the retards with no brains? This argument makes no sense. Black people in North America and Europe just benefit from the white man’s superior planning and development, that’s why they appear to be doing better. Bring them back to Africa and they get immersed into the mediocrity. How many Kenyan politicians, businessmen, and other professionals have lived and studied abroad but returned to loot money meant for development projects?

Let’s give it to the Maasai of East Africa, they turned down slavery, they didn’t feel it. If they had agreed to it. I can’t imagine the catastrophe, if they had agreed.

In Murica, they abolished slave trade from overseas, and not slavery. For they had established slave breeding facilities.
They were after killing the competition from outside.

Physically they were okay, but on intellect, were they subject to some form of exam(s) before being sold off ?

You have to understand that most African tribes also did it to vanquish enemy tribes. There was a guy called Mungo Park who narrated how one village chief would invade even his step brother’s village and sell them off to slavery ndio abaki the top chief in the community. The Maasai initially befriended the British in the hopes that he could use his magic gun and train against his perennial on and off enemies the Kikuyu and the Nandi.

I wonder what would have happened, if Mundu Muiru in Murica was settled in a few states, and given autonomy. Lets say Georgia, South Carolina Florida and Alabama . @mentor , what do you think would have come out of this territory ?

Nyeuthi might complain of inequality, but then, if some of their best Athletes and Entertainers were born in Africa, with twice the talents, they would barely be dollar millionaires.
Akina jay-z na Michael Jordan.

Sasa sikia hawa fake Eurocentric Wannabees. Ndio maana wanasemaga little knowledge ni mbaya sana. Which Africans opposed the abolition of slavery and why? Is it the African Chiefs who were the middle men in the trade and the chief beneficiaries of it or the slaves who were sold off? That’s like saying crimimals are opposed to the abolition of death penalty, which is retarded bullshit. STOP eating up into the White man’s propaganda aimed at sanitizing themselves and diverting attention from their past indescretions. You psuedo intellectuals must up your game banae mko nyyuma sana.

All in all, the Maasai didn’t buy into slavery, if they did, hata Ja’Luo na Mluhya angekuwa in the mix.
Meaning the quality of porn , with a luhya in the house would be dope. What about the quality of the American A$$, courtesy of Adhiambo Cianda.

In other countries, descendants of slave traders are still honored na wako na political power mbaya, and the leaders who tried to stop it akina Nzinga, Afonso etc are barely remembered.
