Tanzania Deploys Peacekeepers to Conflict Zones in Central Africa and DRC
Brigadier General George Mwita Itang’are has officiated the deployment of a contingent of Tanzanian soldiers, presenting them with the national flag as they departed for a United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the Central African Republic.
The Tanzania Defence Forces (TPDF) are consistently ranked among the world’s leading peacekeeping forces by the United Nations, recognized for their strong record in maintaining stability in conflict-affected regions. Discipline, integrity, and professionalism remain defining hallmarks of the TPDF.
As the troops begin their mission, they carry with them Tanzania’s commitment to regional peace and international security.
