The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Dr. Ngwaru Maghembe, held a bilateral meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Andrey Avetisyan, to discuss matters of mutual cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on strengthening collaboration in the areas of investment and trade, and expressed mutual satisfaction with the positive momentum and trajectory of Tanzania–Russia bilateral relations.
Both parties agreed to undertake a comprehensive review of existing bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding that have yet to be fully implemented, with the aim of expediting their operationalization.
The meeting further reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to deepen and sustain close cooperation between the respective Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
