The day my Aunt became mentally ill

outright pettiness hadi despite explaining my context nigger still sees that Iam wrong.

Pole . Glad to hear she made full recovery. You should have followed up with your local politicians , president , MP to look into the state of mental health care in Kenya.

This is how issues get addressed.

Depression happens and it is a very humbling experience.

You were wrong, before and after explaining. Streching in English is alowed, but tearing it apart is not acceptable. In your context, you were wrong. Accept that, and, hopefully, learn

I also remember my late aunt having some wild episodes in the early 90s. Its only the other day that it dawned on me that she might have been suffering from Bipolar disorder but am so certain those signs were missed by doctors back then

Sawa my English tutor

kuna wengine huwa affected na mawingu, kukiwa hakuna mawingu wako sawa

I have seen depression with someone closer than close.Manageable with treatment.

So did mathari hospital help ama you went somewhere else ?
On the other point kenyan govt needs to emphasize more on mental health. It is a sector that is ignored in kenya.

My heart breaks when I see mentally disabled people caged in dogs kennel with nyororo ya mbwa…surely

What I know is most are affected by full moon .reasons I don’t know why …

They helped, by and by! Most of my relatives think it was prayers:). But she is as respectable today as she was ever before!

Still on the same issue, there’s this attention deficit disorder. Wakubwa kuna chances za mtu kurecover from this ailment?

Thank God this ended well. My cousin had the same condition. His name was Safari.
He came across as a very eclectic man who was particularly good with a guitar and making cars from coat hangers. Some moments were bad. He would really lose it.
My Dad struggled with him…medication, specialists, etc. All in vain though. The last time I saw Safari was 18 years ago in Kibera.
He taught me a tune. I still play it for my son.

Very sad! Especially when it is someone you know. Pole bro.

Asante bro. Some of these things are hard to to relate to until they check into your home.

:D:D:D:D:D:Douch! by the way I still feel you had not used it right; but, hey, f**k my feelings!

Some medications help. Knew of someone who took antidepressants and bipolar meds . Mental illness is just like any other illness like malaria and typhoid. There is nothing like kurogwa

Was she depressed… I am just thinking… I have come to realize that many women are silently depressed and it can turn out ugly.

Like @uwesmake, his uncle shikoti claims alirogwa!!

At that time, depression was such a huge vocabulary. And not many people knew anything about the condition known as depression. They were the days when doctors just prescribed medications to patients without disclosing to them the nature of their ailment.
