I can’t say for sure to be honest. 7 years ago I was in a totally different environment (media) and wasn’t much interested in apps outside magazine app prototypes. Before 2017 is probably when these apps hit their peak before they started cloning each other (Uber > Taxify/Bolt, Glovo > Doordash, All chat apps etc)
Right now, I’d say an app needs to have a very strong value proposition to be successful. After Onlyfans, which is basically the ultimate sexy time app, I don’t think we’ll get another breakthrough app as such.
