I have tried to login back to telegram after months of being offline but wanataka KES200 to send me OTA SMS for verification. Nani ameona hii ama its only me experiencing this?

TG doesn’t send OTP to kenyan numbers because of high charges.. you have to sub for premium which is about ksh 200

blame kasongo and co for inflating sms charges. It’s relatively cheaper in other countries.

I tried logging in after a month inasema it has sent code kwa my device.

I haven’t logged kwa any other gadget.

And to make matters worse, you can only login using a specific number. Yangu ilikuwa suspended but ikakataa kulogin through any other number

I had to pay for the premium for them to allow me to login. Funny thing is that instead of sending sms they called my number with +1 call which is free in the first place.

My opinion ni kama telegram is limiting Kenyan users because most are scammers.
