Rongai workshop leyland beaver truck. This transport company has been in operation for around 70years which i think may be the oldest in Kenya. I sometimes wonder how they survived all this long using very old ex-military WW2 trucks.

…the reason they survived; apart from spare parts these trucks are not guzzlers.

really? thought developments in engines were towards fuel efficiency…@85/- per litre that is about 47 litres for 482 km or roughly 10km/l. @kabuda what does an Actros do?

but they are slow. That time manufacturers thought they were supposed to make vehicles to last for a life time. some world war one trucks are still operational . That was before planned obsolescence and consumerism took over.

Hizi ni zile zilikuwa zinachukua siku nzima kupanda mlima No. 10 (Those who live in Msa can relate).
Uzuri ni magari hazikuwa mob (KBS na Nyayo Bus pekee) so jam was not an issue.
