Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Minerals, Hon. Anthony Mavunde, said the Kabanga Nickel Project is one of the major projects that is expected to bring about a major revolution in stimulating the economy and development of our country, therefore the “commitment” set by the Project Implementation Company is important for the future growth of the mining sector and the country’s economy.
The Government has called on all companies to ensure that they immediately begin the development of mining projects as stipulated in the Mining Act, Chapter 123, it is important that the law is observed in the implementation of projects so that these projects bring productivity to the community and the Nation as a whole.
Minister Mavunde has emphasized that all companies with medium and large licenses ensure that their areas are developed in accordance with the terms of their licenses.
