DODOMA, Tanzania – In a historic move to ensure water security across the country, the Government of Tanzania has officially commenced the implementation of the National Water Grid. This strategic infrastructure project is designed to mirror the national electricity grid by interconnecting major water sources to stabilize supply nationwide.
Speaking during the Jambo Tanzania program on TBC1 this Friday, December 19, 2025, the Minister for Water, Hon. Jumaa Aweso, detailed the government’s vision to eliminate long-standing water challenges through this unified distribution system.
