I have been pondering on this topic for quite some time. It is vey rare to find a sub-saharan female with their natural hair; iwe mtoto ama guuka.
This explains all the receeding hairlines we see all over. This appears to be a habit whose genesis I cannot point to. Must be a miserable existence having to wear synthetic hair for the rest of your life
