I used to be an avid long distance biker…well i have been doing motor races ever since i was 5…but sadly i had to stop riding in Kenya because it got to a point where it was very dangerous…i only do cross country events where there is little or no traffic…
Kenyan motorists have no respect for riders or their own safety while on our highway…after many close shaves i hang up my long distance riding boots and gear for good…
i came accross this video from our African Motorcyle diaries group in facebook…(let me paste the link i cant find it in youtube)
must have happened around the escarpments on your way to Naivasha sometimes last year…simply a disaster luckily the rider made it out alive…
check out the page African motorcyle diaries its more clear there…this rider posted the video after going back home to his country last August…then the kenyan bikers took up the case
There is a point guys were wondering if that is a two way road…i mean why do people overtake like that when there is oncoming traffic…na una overtake ukienda wapi while there is traffic infront and all cars are moving slowly…
There was one day i was driving up the old escarpment road on my way to Nairobi…and this trailer came speeding down overtaking another trailer without a care of the world…only two options either to hug the escarpment walls on the left or slide down the valley on the right…stay on your lane and get hit by the Trailer headon…sijawahi tumia hiyo barabara tena
