Stop Kenyan Trucks from entering Uganda.

Following a directive from the Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Agriculture that has halted business at the border and left Ugandan farmers stuck with their sugarcane at the Busia Border.
The Busia Municipality Mp. Hon. Geoffrey Macho has asked government during a plenary seating to engage its Kenyan counterparts to open the border.
This prompted the Speaker of Uganda Parliament Rebecca Kadaga to question the Minister of Trade Amelia Kyambadde on why Kenyan trucks are still being allowed in the country;

“Why haven’t we used the principal of reciprocity? They started with milk, sugar, eggs and now sugarcane. Stop their trucks from coming that is when they will understand that we are serious,” said Speaker of Uganda Parliament Rebecca Kadaga,
However Uganda’s Minister of Trade Hon. Kyambadde said she is aware of the trucks at the border and plans to engage the Trade counterparts are in the pipeline.
She added that they haven’t had a solution to the problem but President Museveni is yet to engage his Kenyan counterpart President Uhuru Kenyatta.

We are facing a crisis and instead of the govenment trying to make things better they are the ones makin things worse. When they are preventing these trucks from crossing the birders what do they expect. We are in lockdown and people are stuck in their houses. There are people that have nothing because of this. People in towns need food and apparently no one is ready to sell. This epidemic has really disrupted the economy. Curently the price of fuel has gone up and so is the transport costs. It is like getting into a bus is getting into an airplane. I do not know here we are headed but things are not lookin good for us.
