Back in them days, I first formatted Black XP and on the start menu was an “Online sources” option and that’s how I found Digitally Imported di.fm.
I felt bad when they started charging me but I understand where they’re coming from. $15 for a year ain’t bad, really.
Good old Black XP. I had the alienware skin on my copy way back when.. I think 2006 and 2007. Thanks to Mark Zuckerberg for storing all these pics for me for nearly 2 decades.
VLC media na hiyo Archaic interface, mimi natumia musicbee very solid player great UI and has radio embedded already, na pia inasync na last fm.
Pia nimeongeza my fav radio shows huko, za rock, shoegaze hata Spotify niliwachia ya playlists pekee, namumunya my music pole pole siku hizi, and i can sort through several radio channels.
Hizi siku exploring the internet felt like an exploration…
Ulikuwa unaweka vitu kwa search engine, and you go on discovery, nowadays imekuwa filtered sijui na vichungi ngapi uongeze SEO’s halafu death of forums being replaced na kina reddit na sijui Twitter
Eh, it’s simply a function of the growth and development of the internet. Back then, and especially in the 90s, the internet was considered a ‘Wild West’ and we didn’t have opinions filtered though a bunch of ad guys and girls in suits talking gibberish. No, I’m not subscribing some shitty reskinned version of ELIZA.
I mean, when I started browsing, there was Netscape explorer, Geocities and Yahoo!.. no parents around. I had so many ‘girlfriends’ on IRC channels I used to just ‘all chat’ like a flamer.
Some dude who was selling movies used to have premium rapidshare and megaupload and he couldn’t share them. There was only one fast cyber in Eastleigh rounder ya garage.
Hehehe, poor you. A friend of mine had a premium rapidshare account and he occasionally shared it. Downloaded all the illegal movies from here to the Kepler system.
