Solar energy

How are you elders, today how about we discuss the cost of purchasing a simple solar back up system, main components being

1 solar panels
2 lithium batteries (I would prefer lead acid but everyone claims they are outdated)
3 scc (solar charge controller)
4 inverter

Most talkers here usually have strange quotations on projects, they want to go Big, but I only need a system to charge phones and keep tv on for 2 days

If you’ve installed one in your home, please give advice based on your experience, kplc still is a good primary source pale country side, this is just for emergency

Asanteni, quote prices ya hizo items pia if you purchased them recently

@ibrahim300 @kendez_mendez you are all invited

200ah battery tubular is around 32K
2 x 150ah solar price at 17K
30amps Solar charge controller 3K
500watts inverter at 3,500

Total cost 55,500. You can try the lead acid battery which is cheaper. For me natumia refurbished lithium battery from jiji (same price with the tubular battery but better energy density) which you need an MTTP charge controller.

For Lithium you will need more solar on the roof, example for 200ah lithium battery you need like 400-500watts of solar.

On my head I’m scratching my head where to find a reasonable solardrier that uses solar battery back up to run fans and keep the tent hot during the night. Any leads? The prices that they are waiting for me are very extorting.

for such a small system get a 100w panel 4500, 300w inverter 1,500 charge controller 1000 and a 60ah battery costing 5k…This costs about 13k total.
