Thousands of youth from Rwanda were left counting their losses following a botched conference meant to help them generate wealth.

The event was dubbed the ‘Money Wealth and Business Conference’, scheduled to be held on June 25, 2019, with Charles Kinuthia penned down as the main speaker.

The conference hall, that was packed well over its capacity, erupted into chaos once the attendees realized that no high profile speaker was set to appear and that there would be no monetary gifts as earlier advertised.

The self-proclaimed social entrepreneur and investor was caught in a storm at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre Kimihurura Roundabout, Kigali.

Individuals interviewed at the centre confessed to having sold some of the personal property in order to make it where they believed they would each receive at least Ksh 20,000 as per the communication they claim to have received.

“I sold my harvest and borrowed some from my neighbours, promising them I would come back rich. What am I going to tell them?” Mimi Uwihayimana remarked.

Once one completed the necessary transaction in order to confirm attendance, he/she then received the message highlighted below:

There were numerous other comments that have interestingly been deleted from the wealth fitness official Instagram page, with their facebook page also found missing.

“Someone is here lying to the world. Conman! Folks be careful not to follow this kind of fool. You caused chaos in Kigali but you will pay back some day,” niwe_na posted.

I have always have one theory that has never been wrong. If you see a Kikuyu agreeing to partner with you in any kind of business, just know that he must be getting more benefit from the deal compared to you and the effort and work you are bringing in. Or he thinks so.
