SECURITY ALERT

Routine; Reports indicate that heavy rainfall of more than 50 mm in 24 hours is expected on Monday 21 - 22 May in Parts of Western, Central, North Rift Valley, Northern and Central regions. Some of the specific Counties to be affected include Kiambu, Nakuru, Turkana, West Pokot, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Baringo and Laikipia. Kindly note that residents of urban areas are advised to be on the lookout for potential flash floods and those in landslide prone areas to be on high alert.

I overheard people say that the larger central province want to drain the dam by directing water elsewhere (to dam constructed in central province) since ndakaini has never benefited th3 local residents at all
