Reminds me of folk saying us dollar / telkom / kbc / posta / postbank / kenya bus / now safaricom is irreplaceable. If there is an alternative the monopoly will not know what hit it. It always happens.

Iyo ni ujinga. The most important people in this equation are not the Safaricom shareholders nor the American owners of Starlink, but the customers who have every right to choose the better service providers. Any company providing less costly alternatives is welcome; others should adapt their prices to survive.

Am sure starlink will soon launch a GSM service as well coz they already have the infrastructure. Then better money transfer options will become available to you - worldremit, cash app etc. Besides we got Airtel and telecom which are way more affordable than the dinosaur mpesa. They can go drying
