Router for Zuku

I have a Zuku Home Internet service but the router they supplied at installation is not able to reach all parts of the house properly. Is it possible to buy your own router and connect it? If so what is a good router to buy that allows for faster speeds and has good reach. All help is very appreciated.

Just buy a repeater / booster

Is saf home fibre better?

Just buy a basic router and run an ethanet cable and you’ll be sorted. Acha a na izo repeater it’s a waste of money

Ideally, you shouldn’t use the ISP provided router as the CPE. They have crap security and and configuration features.

Get a TP-Link WiFi router or two.

If your speed or budget allows it get a pricier major brand router with WiFi 6 an MIMO capabilities.

If you don’t mind some elbow grease, get one with MIMO with DD-WRT.

PS: Avoid the STI that is the Tenda brand.

Does the TP link increase coverage? Compared to the ISP one?

Yes it does. Get the two antennae model.

I am not a fan of Wifi extenders so I am buying the TP-Link AX5400 WiFi 6 Router to extend my wifi range - from amazon price will be around 20K or thereabouts. I find that when I come home in the evenings, I stay a little bit in the car at the garage with poor wifi connectivity. I have more than once imagined that I would enjoy watching a movie at 2K resolution on my tab as I relax.

From the reviews I have seen this router offers the best value for the price.

Why not a mesh at that price?
