Barcelona have signed Malcom from Bordeaux for £45.5million after swooping under the noses of Roma.
The deal - £36.5m plus £9m in add-ons - has come after the Spanish side have gazumped Roma, who had announced the signing of the 21-year-old before he failed to board a flight to the Italian capital.
This dramatic turn of events could have serious consequences for Chelsea midfielder Willian as he waits for Barcelona to match the Stamford Bridge club’s £70m valuation.

Chelsea rejected Barcelona’s £65m bid for Willian on Monday but talks were expected to continue.
Malcom cancelled his Monday night flight to Rome, leaving expectant fans disappointed at the airport.
And the situation for those in Rome worsened as the club were informed of the talented youngster’s wish to join Barcelona.

The signing of Malcom appears to reduce the chances of Barcelona returning for Willian.
