I feel so lost. Who I was 2 years ago is nowhere near my current situation. Laid off in 2024, got seriously sick couldnt apply for work for 10 months because of misdiagnosis. Had to go back to shagz. Rental arrears over 400k. Girlfriend left this year. Been applying everywhere I get interviews but cant convert no matter how hard I prepare. 2 years unemployed now, no income, Wueh, nikitoka kwa hii shimo I will never misuse money again.

I’ve been in your predicament twice, in fact a lot worse than you. At least ulikua shags. I. Will advice you a couple of things. Whatever your career is, make sure you are current on all the certifications. 2nd study a new trade. Badala ya kukaa ktalk na pornhub siku nzima, ingia youtube and learn something marketable. It doesn’t take but 3 months to learn something that pays you. Ingia ata panel beating na makanika, bora inalipa. I learnt how to do electrical work, and I got jobs that literally saved my life. Story for another day.
But Kama image is your priority, one year from today, utalia ujapata job for 3 years. And it will get harder then.

Pole kaka, but be strong, things will come back and be well for you, hata mimi nilikula two years unemployment 2015 - 2018, then one day from one of those many jobs I was applying, one I did not expect or know anyone nikapata phone call when I was busy selling makaa huko ocha. Things turned around for me and my family. Do not give up, you will one day look back at the experiences you have gained. There is always a silver lining. For me, learned to save for a rainy day, and got to know much about people and “friends”. As long as you and family are now healthy, shukuru mungu. Hata ukiwa na pesa, poor health is the worst thing that can happen.
