Reopening Biz in NJAANUARY

Elders, nataka kureopen biz after kufunga for the Christmas break, but naona ni kama raia wamesota ile mbaiya saidii. Nitulie ama nirisk? Rent is constant whether or not I open, but staki kupoteza pesa na dead stock.

Fikiria long term mzee. Customers wako wakikuja wakukose wataenda kwa competitors and they will stick with them. Kuna kitu inaitwa customer acquisition cost kwa biz. Upuzi umefanya January inaweza kuramba hadi December. Never give your customers the opportunity to try your competition which they will if you don’t open.

Nilienda once kwa restaurant nikapata wamefunga. Nikatafuta restaurant ingine nikakula my usual rice+beef. Nikapata yao ni tamu kuliko ile ingine. That’s how they lost a customer.

Food, beverages and accommodation. Just thinking about renewing the liqour license at 50k next week gives me a migraine. On Christmas I sold 5 bottles of alchohol maze.

Well, I’ve been running the biz for 2 years now, and what you’re describing is known as customer churn. They usually come back after a couple of weeks coz my premises is simply the best available.. because I actually have a refrigerator while nobody else does.

Fungua biashara uwache ujinga. Leo kina game kubwa but Niko na meza tatu pekee but siwezi funga. School fees inapipinya parents makei hawana uwezo wa kupiga starehe. Weka stock kidogo and reduce staff if need be mpaka March.

Maybe you should consider closing the business permanently, not just January - especially if you have been running the business for more than one year. Ukiona biashara una-weigh whether to open or not, its about time to hang your boots. Clearly it is not working hence your dilemma whether or not to open in January.

Nilikam kuona most people in Nairobi and probably any major town ni mbwembwe tuu wako nayo. They all go broke time shule zinafunguliwa na mid month to a level where they stop spending on leisure for a few weeks. The most likely reason is that they live above their means so they have to cut back when big expenses are due.

Personally my bank balance fluctuates but my lifestyle doesn’t change regardless of major expenses juu I live below my means. Kama sasa najua the next two weeks clubs and restaurants will be empty even on Fridays.

Bado. Mambo in life ni kujaribu tu.
