Religion Gone Mad

Religion as we know it has been completely bastardized …!!! :fire:

Far-right commentator , Joshua Haymes recently posted a video in which he beseeched his fellow Christian nationalists to learn to defend the institution of slavery because the Bible makes it clear that "it is not inherently evil to own another human being."

Haymes who hosts a podcast with pastor Brooks Potteiger of Pilgrim Hill Reformed Fellowship, a far-right church located outside of Nashville, TN, that is aligned with Christian nationalist pastor Douglas Wilson and counts Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth as a member was reacting to a recent Jubilee video in which conservative Christian commentator Allie Beth Stuckey debated 20 liberals.

Haymes was unimpressed with Stuckey’s response when challenged about the Bible’s sanction of the practice of slavery, warning that offering up anything short of a vigorous defense of slavery opens the door to challenging the authority of the Bible on all sorts of issues.

"The institution of slavery is not inherently evil," Haymes insisted.
It is not inherently evil to own another human being.”

“It is very important that every Christian affirm what I just said,” he continued.
“Not only should they affirm it, every Christian in today’s society should be able to defend what I just said.
Every Christian should be able to defend it…
Christians in America have been led astray on this topic.
They’ve been led to believe things that the Bible doesn’t teach, and when we go beyond the Bible, there are dire consequences.”

Haymes proceeded to argue that while there have obviously been many slave owners who treated their slaves terribly, the practice of slavery itself is not sinful and therefore the Founding Fathers were not “living in grave sin” by owning slaves, nor was America birthed in sin because of the practice.

“We must also acknowledge that men like our Founders, men like Jonathan Edwards, who owned slaves, could in fact treat their slaves the way the Bible tells them to treat their slaves and that they weren’t living in grave sin,” Haymes asserted.
“They weren’t living in unrepentant grave sin.”

Quoting C.S. Lewis, Haymes said that faulting the Founders for practicing slavery is “chronological snobbery.”
“We’re condemning them for being a product of their time,” Haymes declared.
“Given the fact that the Bible does not explicitly condemn that as sinful, then we ought not explicitly condemn our forefathers, condemn Jonathan Edwards as grave, unrepentant sinners.
That is chronological snobbery at its finest.”

“Do not condemn our forefathers who may have been treating their slaves biblically,” Haymes said.
“In fact, it’s like two percent of the Americans actually owned slaves. And anyone who actually engaged in real abuse, we condemn that. We condemn treating other image bearers as subhuman.
That’s evil.
That’s bad.
That’s not good.
We can condemn that, okay?
But we cannot condemn the entire institution of slavery outright; we just cannot do that because the Bible does not do that.”

PAUSE ..
After seeing this white racist nonsense , I had to take a shot of good Whiskey…

Meditate on this :-

Exodus 22:21-24

“You shall not wrong a sojourner or oppress him, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.
22: You shall not mistreat any widow or fatherless child.
23: If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to me, I will surely hear their cry,
24: and my wrath will burn, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.

Deuteronomy 24:14

“You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns.

Proverbs 14:31

Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors him.

Anyone can create his own Bible, and that’s OK, as long as he doesn’t try to force others to accept the explanations bubbling and fermenting in his socially undeveloped mind. But there are those who go about stirring up wrath, and begging to be violently removed from the society of God’s civilized creatures because they have never belonged in it. That Haymes had better be careful where he hangs out. Enough said.

But isn’t the entire institution of marriage based on the principle of owning another human being?! You go to the slave market (dating) and pick a slave, you then pay the men who ‘own’ her a token(dowry). She takes your name like slaves of yore, did away with their ancestors’ names and took on their slave owners name, you breed for the owner of the plantation and all your offspring take on his surname. Isn’t this exactly what happens in marriage?!

The problem with underclasses such as black men is that they only complain about a hierarchical system when it’s not them who are the beneficiary.Understand this , slaves were captured and sold by black merchants. Mixed slaves and other lighter skinned slaves, worked in the house and also were in charge of the other darker or lower caste slaves determined by proximity in appearance to the plantation owners.

Black men after being freed from slavery after the confederacy war that ended slavery in America, took on other black slaves and even sold their own wives and children into slavery. Yes! Freed slaves. I’ve seen genealogy books showing what slave took on which other slaves and his wife was a slave who could be sold and bought if he was tired of her.

During the era of Jim Crowe and segregation black men then began another form of slavery which was to own black women and sell them to white men for sex. These men were called pimps and the black man was the father of sex trafficking and sexual enslavement. Upto date 90% of pimps are black men :gorilla:. Fun fact, the word simp is an autonymn of the word pimp. Simp actually means a square, a morally upright man who does not deal in grimy underworld of enslaving women sexually for financial gain. I bet these manosphere monkeys don’t even know the etymology of this word they use daily?! What else can you expect from ignorant and confused juveniles.

It’s ok to own a human being if you are a black man but if you are a white man it isn’t. America isn’t like Mauritania or the gulf where slavery is still a thing. Your outrage is misplaced. I was reading comments on a post about why some public figure isn’t married and most of the comments posited that marriage is for poor people as a way out of poverty. Apparently women with money don’t value marriage as much as those without. The slave plantation was for poor black slaves, though through out history, slavery existed including white slaves and people captured during conquests and to pay debts were an acceptable cause of slavery, none got to the extent of the black slave trade or trans Atlantic slave trade.

As long as marriage exists then there will remain no arguments that it is morally reprehensible to own , enslave and subjugate another human being. Let’s stop with the double standards. Men and the patriarchy and especially black men :gorilla: are the biggest proponents of slavery!

Racism and white supremacy is a doctrine straight from the pits of hell. It’s not a skin issue but a SIN ISSUE. These white supremacist hacks are heavy laden with sins headed straight to eternal damnation unless they repent. What will they do when they stand before the throne and be judged by a dark hued God? When anyone mocks another human being, a creation of God, they are in fact mocking the Creator (Proverbs 17:5).

I have no words left in me to express the horrors we are witnessing today under the MAGA white nationalist beast kingdom. Surely, the Lord is coming any day now. Look up, our redemption draweth nigh!

Maranatha.

Beloved Brother in CHRIST ..
You have hit the Nail on the Head.

IT IS NOT A SKIN ISSUE ..
IT IS A SIN ISSUE ..

The well schooled , well informed Elders and “literati” in here will tell you that EVERY community on this planet has a history of Bondage and Slavery.

And it goes on quietly in most Nations on this planet under a variety of Pseudonyms …

  • In the rich Middle East Nations , they come mainly from poverty stricken under developed Nations , commonly referred to as “Third World”.
They are packed into and restricted in massive , cramped , overcrowded , unhygenic , singles “hostels” when not engaged in back breaking work from dawn to dusk that their employer host masters are not prepared or skilled to do.
Their Domestic Counterparts ( ..mainly young Females..) fare much worse.
Brutal sub-human treatment , Insults , Starvation , Assaults , multiple Rape and even Murder are the order of the day.
In Dubai , there are entire streets full of them.
    (..@KuwaitBabe can confirm..)

  • In Europe you find an attempt to hide this outrage under the cloak of a Fig Leaf with the “Au Pair” institution.
An au pair is a young person from a foreign country who lives with a host family to provide childcare in exchange for room, board, and a small monetary allowance.
This is a so-called cultural exchange program where the au pair integrates into the family, helps with childcare and light housework, and gets the opportunity to experience a new culture and learn a new language.
The term “au pair” is French for “on par” or “equal,” reflecting the idea that the au pair becomes a temporary, equal member of the family.
    You Wish …!!!
I have lived , studied , travelled and worked in many Continental European Nations and have come across many of these poor , semi-educated young ladies from Africa , South America , Asia and Eastern Europe forcefully recruited into prostitution rings and drug trafficking.
(..in Amsterdam’s Red Light District , Zurich Central Station and back streets of Rome and Milan you can find them under the watchful eye of Pimp “minders” controlling their every move..)

  • In India they call them “indentured workers”.
Indentured servitude differs from slavery in that it is a form of debt bondage , meaning it is an agreed upon term of unpaid labor that usually paid off the costs of the servant’s accommodation , food and upkeep.
    In short ..
You work your butt off from Dawn to Dust in exchange for shitty food and accommodation.

  • In the USA , via the 13th Amendment in 1865 , All African Americans were given citizenship in 1868 , and in 1870 African American men gained the right to vote.
The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was intended to end discrimination based on race, color, religion, or national origin in the United States .
The act gave federal law enforcement agencies the power to prevent racial discrimination in employment , voting , and the use of public facilities.
This is what Trump , MAGA , The Trump Supreme Court and Project 2025 are trying to reverse with Trump illegal “Executive Orders”.
(..and we we actually have some idiot Juvenile Blacks-for-Trump uneducated morons in here that actually cheer Trump.. ).

So..
In the USA , they call modern Slaves "Immigrant Workers".
Although they provide over 98% of all Agricultural Manpower and a huge presence in the services industries doing menial work , they are horribly treated with sub-standard pay , nil social benefits , under-represented under Law and constantly harassed , detained and deported by ICE without due legal process.

It must be said
Immigrants contribute to the U.S. economy by filling labor shortages, starting businesses at high rates, and spending money as consumers.
They also pay billions in taxes (income, sales, and property) and play a key role in innovation, with a disproportionate number of patents attributed to immigrants.
(..Between $17-22 Billion in 2023..!!).
Overall, their contributions are vital for economic growth, innovation, and long-term dynamism.

But I digress a little
@TrumanCapote:
Marriage as envisioned by Our Lord and Saviour , JESUS CHRIST ,
was a Sacred , Willing Covenant between a Man and a Woman transacted in Public before witnesses that the two shall leave their Parents and become ONE ( ..forsaking all others ..) until death.
JESUS further taught Respect and Submission between a couple and they well all as important as different parts of the Body are to each other.
My understanding here is EQUAL but with DIFFERENT missions.
(..the Eyes cannot do what the Hands do..)

@lionheart:
On that note
That “forsaking all others” bit is my greatest challenge going forward.
Imagine all the succulent BBW Booty and "CSR" Projects that I will have to give up.
It is one of 3 Red-Line Conditions laid down by the “Thika Servant of the Lord”..

What we have isn’t marriage it’s indentured servitude and as such is no different from all other forms of slavery.
