I am currently using the redmi note 8 with the snapdragon 665 chip. If I was to upgrade, I would go for the note 9s with the 720 snapdragon chip. That doesn’t mean the mediatek chip in the note 9 is bad but gcam camera mods work best with the snapdragon chips. The gcam app is a mighty improvement compared to the stock camera app. Another reason I avoid phones with mediatek chips is my unhappy experience with tecno phones in the past.

Buy the redmi note 9s it’s better value. Note in shops they have the redmi note 9pro for a higher price than the 9s. But don’t be fooled it’s the same exact phone but for different regions. Ask for 9s. 6gb ram 128gb storage utapata na 24k
You are right. I have had these experiences before. But you have to admit that those Tecnos have great cameras, yeah? I lost a phone and got the redmi 8a on short notice. Shitty camera and it’s a snapdragon? Even Gcam mods couldn’t save it
You don’t expect a 10k phone to blow you away with camera performance.

The redmi note 9s has a 48MP main camera and its charging is capped at 18W

That is the pro max. There is a 9pro, 9s and 9 pro max.
9s and 9pro are same but 9pro was for Indian market. 9s was for Europe market.

True. Point is that the Tecnos with their mtks in that price range do better than the redmi with a snapdragon.
